Turboprop STOL Aircraft: Vazar Aerospace began conversions in the early 1980's. Vazar's CEO D. Wilder, being both a commercial pilot and industrial developer, saw a need to offer turbine power to one of the most durable and extraordinary aircraft ever built and thus began the long journey to certification. Today over 80 Vazar Dash 3 Turbine Otters are flying the world over with even Antarctica being was graced with a turbine Otter for a season a few years ago. Who are benefitting? Skydivers in Sweden, Great Barrier Reef tour operators in Australia, salmon fishing camps in Alaska, logging crews, mining operators, Gulf Island passenger transporters, Arctic cargo haulers, Whistler Ski area tours, the list goes on and on, each an adventure unto themselves.
